Rest of the Back Pain Story

Continuation from Part-1...

As mentioned, S was breaking his back to save mine :D Monday was very unusual. There were no Monday Blues for both us, for we stayed at home (Yes, I made S take leave after acting much more painful than I really had.. ) Had sound sleep and slept till 9Am in the morning and once I was hungry, woke S up!! let me tell you, life seemed so easy :P... S prepares dosa and a big dabba full of chutney to save some time in the future. Serving me the food, getting me the water before I am choked, handing me over the medicines, massaging the ointment had become a duty for him by then. To save me from boredom, he should serve me various snacks at multiple intervals. Also, he should give me good company and keep talking to me (which is so hard for S). So.. this is how it goes..
Me: Tell me something... I feel so bored to be on bed for the whole day.. I feel irritated.. My body is aching... Looks like the medicine is not working..
(by this time, he forgets that I ask him to tell me something and keep listening.. to my laments)
S: (after indefinite silence and looking at me while I 'm talking) oh.... Ellam seri ayidum.. :)
Me: Tell me something no... I feel damn bored.. nothing in tv also...
S: Then you sleep for sometime
Me: I am saying I am bored of sleeping.. I really want to get up and sit for sometime. (While telling this to him, I try to sit up, fail miserably, give a loud cry and get back to lying down)
S: Its better for you to only lie down. Get some sleep.
Me: I am hating it, I say!!
S: Cha... if I am given such a chance, I would sleep for all the day!!!
Me: Stop all that! Now tell me something..
S: Ena solrathu... Nee ye sollu...
Me: Arggggh!!! Tv pakrathe better! :(

If we weren't doing this, I would be watching some crap in TV lying on the bed and he would be busy cooking/doing dishes/cleaning home or attending to me :D

Some of the best things that happened-
- Got to eat heart-fully. (Both from restaurant and home cooked by S)
- S prepared all the food and I should say, everything was so delicious and I was wanting more :)
- We got to spend so much quality time together.. Just talking to each other (atleast arguing/fighting at times)
watching some good old movies like Mayabazaar.. etc
- Both of us caught up with our sleep which we have been missing due to continuous travels.
- I could relax without thinking of my work and no laptop time!
- I didnt have to WFH/ take leave purposefully since my family was visiting us. I was already on sick leave :D

Finally on Wednesday, I go out to see the world. (Of course to Hypercity :P ), the next day was the big day (dad's bday) with my family coming home. I had to bake a cake, prepare something spl for him. I had to get dosa batter ready before they all come in. I first get all the necessary items. come home, prepare dinner. Start grinding the batter. Once done, I go to bake the cake. It was almost disaster. But finally came off well ( Or we pulled it off so... ) Went to bed at 12Am wondering when I would see my family. At 4.10Am, I hear an autorickshaw going off on road and wonder if they can be home so early and close my eyes back. Within 2 mins, I hear some noise at the gate. I jumped off the bed forgetful of my back while calling my sister. When I open the door, S gets up and accompanies me to welcome my parents :) Thats it! S tries to fall back to sleep while for the rest of us, its already morning and we start talking loudly :D I hand over the stuff I got for dad and show him the cake I baked.. he was all excited. I could see the happiness in his face. He brings out the child in him and tries on the new clothes right away. Once it was official morning, we took nice pictures and cut the cake!

What a happy ending to my sad back pain story!! S finally takes a breath of freedom and puts me in the hands of my sis and mom.. :)
